Fatboy Slim DJ’s at the Houses Of Parliament

This is a great step for the DJ industry to see Fatboy Slim playing on the Terrace Bar of the House of Commons on the 6th March 2013.

The DJ also know as Norman Cook plays in the biggest name clubs in the world and although the Terrace bar is on a smaller scale the famous DJ concluded by saying the gig was his most unique to date. Norman Cook’s music career began with The Housemartins back in the 1980’s and as Fatboy slim hit the music charts with massive tunes. He even made the number 1 spot with ‘Praise You’ back in 1999. Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation organised the gig and was hosted by House The House, a parliamentary charity. The charity was setup up to encourage 16 to 25 year dance music fans to be more involved with local communities and their grassroots to raise awareness for music projects.

Fatboy slim has played in some prestigious, large and famous venues but playing in the House of Commons was particularly unique. He said playing for such a great cause was  a fantastic honor and to give something back to the industry is great..

Mr Weatherley said “House The House is giving young people opportunities to have a say and be recognised and to engage with their local communities from the grassroots upwards.
